Eco Artists working to connect people to nature and community
Information for Schools and Groups
We come from an education background, so we really enjoy working with school groups. We organise arts projects to connect participants to the natural world and to each other. We tailor our workshops to link to social issues and/or aspects of the curriculum (eg maths, design, literacy and science). We understand the value of getting children learning outside and being creative. We find that our projects engage students of all abilities. We have worked with special schools and are happy to adapt all activities to any special educational needs as we pride ourselves on our inclusivity.
Our projects are also fantastic for team building, community bonding and are a fun and unique thing to do together. Whatever the message of your group or organisation, we can help you to engage your communities with our arts workshops.
All of our workshops can be delivered in British Sign Language. If you have a vision, we would love to explore it with you! See below for just 3 examples of our workshops. Prices for schools start from just £300 for a half-day workshop.
Giant Nest Building
Build giant nests with us! This workshop can be themed towards birds and their habitats, plants and seeds or community and personal safety. Curriculum areas covered are maths, literacy, design /technology, PHSE and science. it’s a great activity for family learning sessions and your school will be left with a beautiful sculpture.
Building Structures
Everyone loves a den and in this project children experience collaborative design, learning about weaving and working with natural materials, whilst using their fine motor skills. The resulting sculpture makes a great playground addition for imaginative play. Curriculum links are history, homes and shelters, maths and design.
Wild Art Graffiti and Collage Workshops
Our wild graffiti and nature collage sessions usually begin with a foraging session to get students outside and looking at nature. Using things we have found in the environment we then get artistic and guide them to create beautiful pieces they can be really proud of. Curriculum links are art, science, geography and design.
Recycled Materials Projects
One of our passions is recycling material into beautiful tapestries. We have worked with schools to to create large pieces which tackle issues such as light pollution and protection of natural habitats. Curriculum links are geography, art and science. We even encourage students to collect their crisp packets which we make into material for use in the project!
