Cabinet of Me

Norfolk Summer Deaf Festival commissioned The Nest Project to design an art workshop which would help deaf young people to think about their identity.  Using reclaimed furniture we created a cabinet of wonders reminiscent of the 16th Century “wunderkammer” full of trinkets and curios.  Each drawer of the cabinet tells the story of a deaf person, what’s important to them, what issues they face.  We hope you enjoy a peek into their cabinet and a glimpse of their lives.
